In 2019 I won and delivered on an Early Career Researcher Impact Grant awarded by the Association of Southeast Asian Studies. The aim of the grant was to convert data published from my PhD thesis into accessible outputs for knowledge transfer. In this seminar I will be sharing how to work with visual modes of representation to disseminate research data. I will draw particular attention to the details of collaboration between an academic author and a non-academic illustrator.

Suggested preliminary reading: Retrospective (re)presentation: turning the written ethnographic text into an ‘ethno-graphic’ | entanglements (

Suggested preliminary viewing: Statelessness research | Charlie Rumsby Research | England

This event is organised by the Centre for Trust, Peace and Social Relations, Coventry University in partnership with the Association of Southeast Asian Studies UK (ASEASUK).
